We took a car out of downtown Chiangmai and headed northwest for 40mins, to a relatively remote area called Mae Sa. The Ping river descends through a ten-phase waterfall, amid pretty tropical forest scenery. We hiked up to the summit, and then swam (sort of) in one of the pools on the way down. Beautiful!
